This experience is intended to encourage personal growth, trust, resilience, and community through healthy outdoor activity. Climbing naturally challenges communication, problem-solving, and confidence, making it a powerful experiential recovery activity.

No advanced climbing experience is required.

  • Comfortable, non-restrictive clothing
  • A water bottle

Why Adventure-Based Recovery?

Outdoor experiential activities can play an important role in recovery by helping individuals reconnect with themselves, build confidence, and strengthen peer relationships in a healthy environment. Activities like hiking, climbing, and rappelling also provide opportunities to practice mindfulness, overcome fear, and experience accomplishment outside of a traditional clinical setting.

At The Lighthouse Recovery Services, we believe recovery is strengthened through connection, structure, community, and meaningful experiences that support long-term personal growth.
